Dr. Michael Swartwout

Swartwout Michael Swartwout is an Associate Professor of Aerospace & Mechanical Engineering at Saint Louis University. His research interests are in the design and operation of low-cost, agile spacecraft, with a special interest in what causes CubeSat missions to succeed or fail. As a student and faculty sponsor, he has flown three spacecraft, with another flight scheduled for Fall 2016. He earned his PhD in Aeronautics & Astronautics from Stanford University, and his BS and MS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Illinois.
