Pre-Conference Short Course on Space Mining and Planetary Surface Construction – a first of its kind to address the new fields of space mining and planetary surface construction. I will reduce the technical and programmatic miscommunication that often occurs when geotechnical, geological, tunneling and mining engineers interact with aerospace engineering.

Coordinated by the Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS) at the Univeristy of Central Florida, the event commemorates Yuri Gagarin, the first person to venture into space on April 12, 1961.
